As a native Tuscaloosa resident and managing partner at Tuskaloosa Forestry Services, LLC, my professional journey is deeply rooted in forestry management and consulting services. My commitment to this field is demonstrated through my Professional Logger Manager (PLM) certification in Alabama, emphasizing my dedication to sustainable forestry practices and compliance with the highest industry standards.

Additionally, I hold a Real Estate License, which is authorized by Legacy Land Group, allowing me to practice in both Alabama and Mississippi. This enables me to extend my professional offerings to include a broad spectrum of services, from property management to expert consultancy in real estate.

My academic background is highlighted by an Associate Degree in Forestry, which I earned from East Mississippi Community College in 1990, located in Scooba, MS.

On a personal note, my life is shared with my wife, Rhonda Reed Andress, and our daughter, Leslie. We have made our home in Northport, AL, where we appreciate the community spirit and the lifestyle it offers, reinforcing my connection to the region where I was born and raised.

Bill

Managing Partner

Licensed in Alabama

Bill is a lifelong resident of West Alabama. He is a 1990 graduate of Auburn University, School of Forestry with a minor in Business Administration. He is a registered Forester in Alabama and Mississippi. He received an Alabama Real Estate salesperson license in 1997 and now an active partner with Legacy Land Group, LLC. Bill has over 30 years of experience in land investments. He can help you with any need from farmland, timberland and houses. He lives in Demopolis, Alabama with his wife, Jean.

Courtney

Managing Partner, Forester

Courtney was born in Tuscaloosa and has lived most of his life in Northport. He is a 2003 graduate of Mississippi State University, School of Forestry with a concentration in Forestry Management. He is a registered forester in Alabama. Courtney has over 25 years of experience in the forestry and timber industry and now is a partner in Legacy Land Group, LLC. He currently owns and operates Northriver Timber Company based out of Northport.

Courtney is married to his high school sweetheart Lori, and they have three children, Connor, Liz Morgan, and Meredith.

Wallace

Licensed in Alabama

Wallace was born is Selma, Alabama where he grew up an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and working for his family timber company, Buchanan Timber & Forestry LLC, in the summers. He is a 2013 graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He then earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Manderson School of Business at the University of Alabama in 2015. He is now the Vice President at Buchanan Timber & Forestry LLC where he has spent the past decade gaining valuable experience as a buyer, seller, and investor of timberland across central Alabama.  He also has a passion for wildlife management centering around trophy whitetails and turkeys. He is an agent at Legacy Land Group, LLC.

Wallace currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with his wife, Haley, and his two children, Mack and Nora.

Shawn

Licensed in Alabama

With deep roots in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Shawn Simpson brings his lifelong passion for the outdoors to the Legacy Land Group team. Shawn has built a life centered around family and land stewardship alongside his wife Cherie and their two sons, Colby and Corey, who share his enthusiasm for hunting and outdoor pursuits. Seven years ago, Shawn fulfilled a personal dream by acquiring his own property, where he finds joy in wildlife management and habitat improvement. According to Shawn, there's nothing more therapeutic than time spent on his tractor with his faithful companion Jake, his Boykin

Spaniel.

After dedicating 26 years to Tuscaloosa Toyota before his retirement in October 2024, Shawn established himself as a respected leader whose customer-first philosophy helped him advance through the organization. His comprehensive background in marketing, sales, finance, and negotiations, combined with his genuine love for land and wildlife, makes him an ideal addition to our team. Shawn's unique blend of professional expertise and authentic passion for the outdoors positions him perfectly to serve clients seeking their own piece of legacy land.
